Strawberry Picking Season
In London, Ontario
Looking for the best strawberry picking near London, Ontario? At Kustermans Adventure Farm, we grow three varieties of strawberries — early, mid, and late season — so berries ripen in stages throughout June. That means picking availability changes day to day depending on weather, crowds, and where we are in the season.
When berries are ready, we open the fields. When they need a day to catch up, we wait. That’s farming.
Season Dates
Strawberry season runs through June, typically starting mid-month. We grow early, mid, and late-season varieties, so the fields stay active for up to three weeks — weather permitting. Get picking updates by email

What Families are Saying
“We got told when we first got there that strawberries were limited picking and recommended to not pre-purchase the 3 flats we wanted just in case… well boy were we surprised when we filled all 3 flats without even going 100ft deep! (Morning of Sunday June 23rd) and the quality of the berries never disappoints!

More About Strawberry Picking at Kustermans
About OurStrawberry Fields
Kustermans grows three varieties of strawberries — early, mid, and late season — so the fields stay productive throughout June rather than peaking all at once. That staggered ripening is intentional: it means you’re more likely to arrive when picking is at its best. Our strawberry patch sits close to the farm, so the walk from the tractor is short and the rows are well-maintained for families. What to Expect On Picking Day
Strawberries ripen low to the ground, so comfortable shoes and a willingness to crouch make the experience a lot better. Morning visits tend to have the fullest rows and the best berry selection. Kids can eat as they pick — just remember everything in the basket gets weighed at checkout. Most families fill their first litre in 5 to 10 minutes, though plenty stay longer just to enjoy the rows.
What to Do with Fresh-Picked Strawberries
Fresh strawberries are best within a day or two of picking, but they freeze exceptionally well — hull them, lay them flat on a tray to freeze, then bag them for smoothies, jam, or pie all year long. If you’d rather skip picking, our farm market carries ready-picked litres, baskets, and frozen 5 lb boxes when available. Baking varieties and seconds are great for jams and sauces.
